By invitation of the National Gallery Singapore (Ink Masters Series), Nai Swee Leng conducted a talk at the National Gallery on 20 March 2016, discussing Chinese ink arts of the Ming and Qing Periods, as well as, live demonstrations of Chinese ink on rice paper. The lecture segment was very well received by those that were in attendance, and the organisers included live demonstrations by Mr Nai in the subsequent 3 lectures helmed by other speakers.
During the live demonstrations, Mr Nai painted various subjects, including Pine trees, as well as depiction of Nanyang scenes of sampan boats and swaying coconut trees.
